Meet the Founder
ABOUT Kristen Montoya, DC
I’ve lived in Oak Cliff for 20+ years and have twins, Rosemont Elementary alums. Happily married to a visionary, sweetheart of a man. You’ll find my hubs meditating, making a fabulous mess of the garage, and delivering coffee to Oak Cliff porches on the weekends for his passion project- Tendrel Coffee.
We are wildly curious about what is possible. Hence, we have a house and appliances that all run on the sun and we plug our cars into that grid too. We tithe 10% to charity, so know that your investment in your own care goes further to help others than you may imagine!
If I’ve given you the impression that we have it all together over here, our grass grows tall and our house is begging for a coat of paint.
We live in the space of tinkering and of what’s possible for humanity, aiming to contribute as much as we can -and sometimes-the laundry gets neglected. It’s the most thrilling way I can dream up to spend our lives.
unleashing my mojo
I was 39 years old, had 2 year old twins and was exhausted, scattered and life looked like a giant handbag someone had turned upside down and spilled the contents all over the floor. A f**king mess.
What could help? Cue…NetworkSpinal.
I landed on the table of a chiropractor who practiced in a way that I had never experienced- was this even chiropractic?! Definitely not what I had ever thought Nervous System care could be like.
My mind was blown.
My own undoing would become the greatest gift and the birth of Windhorse Energetics.
"Notice that the stiffest tree is most easily cracked, while the bamboo or willow survives by bending with the wind."
— Bruce Lee
The Windhorse
Lungta in Tibetan
The name Windhorse comes from Tibetan tradition -
It is a sacred symbol representing vital life force, inner strength, and the ability to transform negative energy into positive.
It carries the wish-fulfilling jewel of enlightenment with the speed of the wind and the strength of a horse.
The windhorse is associated with the nervous energy, or prana, circulating within our subtle energetic body. When one's subtle energies are harmonized and flowing smoothly, described as one's "windhorse being strong", the mind experiences harmony and finds it easy to connect to its true nature.
The talisman for Windhorse was created as an incredible gift from a brilliant, kind, abeautiful woman - the creative genius that is Conal Cronin Love- in collaboration with her husband, artist Kyle Steed.
"The natural healing force within each of us is the greatest force in getting well."
— Hippocrates

We live in the space of tinkering, possibility and inspiration. Sometimes, that means the laundry gets neglected. We wouldn't have it any other way.
